Homemade Ham Scalloped Potatoes Cooked in Crockpot

Made Homemade Ham Scalloped Potatoes today for supper in the Crockpot & it turned out pretty good, will make it again in the crockpot. I want to make this a family tradition and make this dish every New Year's Day.

Recipe:

In the bottom of the crockpot put about 1/4 cup of margarine(or butter) and 1/2 cup of milk, then in a food processor slice potatoes(I used reds, and peeled them) about 10-12, half an onion, shredded half a half ham, put into the crockpot and added more margarine & filled milk to cover potatoes, added about a handful of dry chives and S&P for seasoning. I cooked on high for about 4 hours & turned to low for 2 hours(added about a cup of corn starch to thicken) until the potatoes were tender. Sever up into bowls and season with S&P & enjoy. 😋❤

Xmas Brunch, Gingerbread Deco & Xmas Yummies...

Had a late Brunch today... Made Bacon & Hashbrown Delight.

Recipe for Hashbrown Delight:

In a frying pan, put margarine or butter(about 2-3 TBSP), add Hashbrowns, cut up 1 stalk of celery(wash before), Chop up some onion, add about a handful of green pepper & cook on medium heat(about 5); turn a few times with flipper & serve up with an over-easy egg, add some chopped up fresh tomato, season with S&P, add some ketchup(optional, I like it so) & serve bacon on the side & their is your Hashbrown Delight. 😋🤤❤

My boys at work gave me a wonderful gift bag on Friday filled with some nice gifts & goodies for Xmas & one of the things inside was a gingerbread kid kit, I loved it, made it & ate it(& I don't usually like eating gingerbread.) 😋❤

Had a wonderful Xmas dinner(but we used Turkey breast instead of making a full-on turkey, it was okay but still not as good as the full turkey bird lol but less work & I guess that is not a bad thing, either.) We had Turkey breast w/ creamy mashed potatoes, turkey dressing, mixed vegs w/ gravy & cranberries, & S&P to season; had a tossed salad on the side(iceberg lettuce, with chopped up tomato & cucumber, sliced mushrooms & rinsed under cold water, shake in a colander to get rid of extra water, put into bowls top with shredded cheese & bacon bits & ranch dressing & apple pie a la mode for dessert(we got out pie from Walmart, it was not the best pie I ate & will not be getting that pie again.)

Corned Beef, Mashed Potatoes w/Kernel Corn

Made Corned Beef, Mashed Potatoes w/Kernel Corn for supper today, it is a family dish we like making every so on + it is cheap & delicious. 😋

Recipe:

Open a can of corned beef we used Hereford(this I find hard to do, mom usually does it for me, or I just use the can opener lol), put a splash of oil(I used Canola) into a frying pan, and put the frying pan on the burner on medium heat 5-6, put corned beef into pan & mash down with a wooden spoon, chop up some onion & put it into the pan & mix with corned beef; in a pot filled with water peel & slice potatoes put into the water & rinse twice, fill water over potatoes & put on the burner on medium heat 5-6 & cook until potatoes are able to flake with a fork, drain, put back into the pot, add margarine(or butter/optional) & mash, add a splash of milk & whip with a wooden spoon(or a spoon of choice), put mashed potatoes into corned beef in a pan & mix all together, serve unto plates, season with S&P & enjoy...
